The Perfect Gift - Sexy Boudoir Session Albany, NY Photographer

This week I got to work with a wonderful, beautiful, sexy wife…who decided to give her husband a surprise boudoir photo gift! I love these sessions, and couldn’t think of a better present.
Now if you can’t possibly imagine getting into lingerie in front of someone other than your significant other —- let me tell you, these sessions are so relaxed and fun - any nerves will quickly flee! We chatted, laughed, and of course took some beautiful photos! Due to the nature of the sessions - I obviously can’t post many pictures - but am hoping to get a few quotes from ladies that have done them. Hearing it straight from the women themselves is probably the best way to relay the vibe of a boudoir session with me!
In the meantime, enjoy some beautiful, sexy pictures!
Family Session with two Princesses and one Prince - Albany, NY Photographer

Just look at these cuties and you’ll totally get why I titled this post the way I did! Such a wonderful family - so easy to work with! I know many people get so worried about their children cooperating - not that these guys had that issue at all
- but making it fun, and playing with the kids always makes it work. I have 2 children myself - 4.5 and just shy of 3. So I get it! And I’ve worked with children since I can remember - and even taught in Niskayuna for 6 years prior to deciding to stay home. I honestly love to get to know the kids, and get such a kick out of seeing their personalities. Getting a bit of a read on them, helps all the more in coming away with photographs that truely represent them. Another beautiful session down in Central Park - for those of you who have seen me post about it before…you now know why the Rose Garden area is so desirable!
Thanks again M. Family! It really was great working with you! Enjoy your sneak peek!
Story Board Layout Tutorial - Another great way to display images! Albany, NY Photographer

Recently I posted about displaying images in a Wall Display - which can be a stunning way to collage cluster multiple prints. Another great approach to showcase a few images - particularly ones of the same scene, is a Story Board! Generally these prints are 20×10 in size (can be 30×10). Because they are layed out with a boarder, there is no need to matte the print in the frame! Above you’ll see 2 samples. It’s easy to see why these layouts work so well and are so popular. One actual print, and one frame - DONE! Another great way to use this type of layout, is to purchase a frame with the precut, muliple openings matte. It’s an easy way to place 4×6 images together. The only glitch with going that route, is that you do not have control over position of the image/opening. When you order a custom storyboard with me - I crop images, and am able to incorporate both horizontal and verticle images. Actually, having one image be the showcase image, by being larger or differntly shaped - makes the layout work even better!
Belly to Baby Keepsake Album - Albany NY, Maternity Photographer; Albany, NY Newborn Photographer

I’ve created books like this before - but this is a first one where I placed both the pregnancy images and newborn in the same book… I LOVE IT! It seems like such a natural way to display these images; and a great keepsake for both the parents and child. The albums I use have what they call hinged pages - which basically means that they lay perfectly flat when the book is open. You don’t lose any of the image in the binding! Since these are custom designed
they do take a bit of time to create. I just placed the order for it, and can not wait to see how it came out. I’ll be sure to post some pictures once it does arrive - but in the meantime, here’s a sampling of some of the pages.
Back from the Cape - Albany, NY Family Photographer

We got back from the Cape yesterday - and I just got some time to load up the images —- I do often take pictures of my kids, but usually just a quick shot here and there. This family vacation gave me a chance to sneak some while they didn’t know I was doing it. My favorite photographs are always candid ones. I just melt when I catch the innocence in their childhood in pictures. Many people want a smiling at the camera shot going into their session. I love, love, love - when they fall head over heals in love with the candid ones too, and especially swoon when they say….”you captured us perfectly…” I heart my job! As I posted earlier, summer session availability is decreasing by the day. Give me a call, or drop a line and we can start chatting!
Family Vacation at the Beach - Albany, NY Photographer
I so wish I could post some pictures! I’m on my first family vacation with the kiddos, and our great friends and their children. We rented a house on the Cape that my cousin’s husband’s family owns and rents a few weeks in the summer. To say it is amazing is an understatment! We’re steps from the ocean - private beach area…just a perfect setting. The kids are loving the beach - playing in the sand, collecting snails and shells - and at least for mine swimming in salt water for the very first time! My Family Portrait Sessions out in California made the beach setting an instant favorite. So, I broke out my camera yesterday and snuck a few shots of the kids. Sunshine, sand, blue water, and little ones in bathing suits…totally adorable! Again, I wish I could post some - but don’t have that capability with the laptop ![]()
Hoping the weather is as good for all of you as it is here…aagggghhhh sunshine!
